Frankston Arts Centre

The Frankston Arts Centre is a great place for people of all backgrounds to experience the arts. There are two theatres which seat 200 & 800 people respectively, five exhibition galleries, a creative arts hub, and a function centre. Over half of the centre’s 160,000 annual visitors come from outside of the local community. The most frequent visitors come from the Mornington Peninsula, Western Port regions, and the suburbs of bayside Melbourne. To make your visit even better, you can also enjoy the venue’s café and other amenities.

The Frankston Arts Centre has something for everyone, from families to children. The centre has made inclusivity a cornerstone to their design of the facility allowing people with disabilities to fully enjoy the arts. There are specialized workshops for the visually impaired and a ticket subsidy scheme to accommodate low-income patrons. In addition to the theatre, the centre offers educational pathways and offers a discounted community rate. Visiting the centre is a wonderful way to learn about the arts and have a great time.

McClelland Sculpture Park and Art Gallery

Whether you’re looking for a great way to spend an afternoon or evening with your family, the McClelland Sculpture Park and Art Gallery is a great place to visit. A visit to this intriguing place is a wonderful experience. The gallery features over 100 sculptural works situated with the 16 hectares of beautiful bushland and landscaped garden settings.

You can also see paintings, illustrations and other artworks from famous artists inside the gallery. There is a café within the park to satisfy your hunger cravings and make it an easy all-day experience for the whole family. The perfect combination of paintings and sculptural works will create a memorable experience. The best part about this place is that at the time of writing it’s free for children under 18 and only $6 for adults!

  1. Head south on Kitson St
  2. Continue onto Tooyal St
  3. Turn left onto Dandenong Rd W/State Route 9
  4. Turn right onto Dandenong Rd/State Route 9
  5. Turn left onto Frankston – Dandenong Rd/State Route 9
  6. Turn right at Skye Rd
  7. Continue on Skye Rd until you reach the end of Skye Rd 
  8. Take the 3nd exit (turning left) onto McClelland Dr
  9. Continue south on McClelland Dr then turn left into McClelland Sculpture Park & Art Gallery.
